Coronal Diagnostic Spectrometer at Imperial College
These pages detail the coronal hole observing sequences developed for the CDS instrument. Two observing sequences have been designed for the Coronal Diagnostic Spectrometer (CDS) in order to look at the structure and evolution of coronal holes.
CHSTR
Designed to look at the structure within coronal holes.

BOUND
Designed to look at the structure and evolution of the coronal hole boundary.

Other sequences
These sequences are designed to be complementary to each other. They will rely on two other standard products from CDS - the Normal Incidence Spectrometer (NIS) spectral atlas and the synoptic maps produced by NIS. These will be used to identify coronal hole regions and interpret the resulting spectral data.
