Funded by the European Commission under the Fifth Framework Programme

Turbulence in space plasmas

Coming soon: 3rd school: Tuscany, Italy, October 3-7 2005.

Who are we?

We are scientists from six world-class institutions who have received funding from the European Commission to employ six post-docs between 2002 and 2006. These young researchers will receive extensive training, collaborate and travel widely, and perform research into turbulence in solar and space plasmas.

What do we do?

We use observations, simulations and theory to study a wide range of solar and space physics problems. Turbulence is a unifying factor in many of these problems - coronal heating and fine structure, formation of the solar wind, particle acceleration and propagation - and we aim to make significant advances in these subjects over the four years of funding of the network.

We will be holding several summer schools and workshops, at which young researchers can learn about up to date analysis techniques and science, receive advice from leaders in their fields, and share their results with others.

Get involved!

We are actively recruiting at this time. Follow the links to find out more about the science we will be doing and the institutions and people involved. If you're interested, look at the information about the jobs available, and get in touch!
