I am working on Atmosphere-Ocean interactions and the basic physics of oceanic and atmospheric circulations. I enjoy developing simple theoretical models and use them as guides for the analysis of observational records and outputs from coupled climate models simulations.
CURRENT PROJECTS
My current projects focus on the interaction of oceanic and atmospheric heat transports and the signature of mesoscale oceanic eddies on sea surface temperature.

TEACHING
I am also involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, in particular in the new Environmental physics course offered to 2nd and 3rd year Physics students.

I have written notes on a mini-series offered during the fall 2004 to joint-program (MIT-WHOI) students. The topic was midlatitude climate variability: PNA, NAO, annular modes and their interaction with the ocean circulation.
