Some pictures of a fact finding mission in August 2003. This trip
started with a visit of a Chinese Lightning Campaign in Nachu in the first
week. The real adventure then began with Jeep ride from Lhasa along the
Himalayas to the Nepal border. We had great views and met up with the 2nd
Cho Oyu expedition.
Everest on 12th August noon towering above the monsoon clouds. Taken on the flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa looking West.
North Face of Everest. Evening of the 23rd August., before the onset of cold mountain winds blowing into base camp.
Two views of North Face in the morning of August 24th from base camp. The warm valley winds were gradually eroding the clouds/mist.

the base.
