Cho Oyu 2003

Cho Oyu (8201 m, 28.01N, 86.65E) is the sixth highest mountain in the world. It is only about 20 km to the west of Everest.

Indicated below is the position of Camp 3 (7450m). Due to adverse weather conditions the summit attempt had to be abandoned this time and our instrument was placed by Terry Moore, the Jagged Globe Expedition Leader, not far from Camp 3.
