Ulysses Ulysses Data

Most of the Ulysses magnetic field and Anisotropy Telescope data received to date is freely available at archive sites listed below.

If you want data that are more recent or of higher temporal resolution than those in the public domain, you should contact Geraint Jones for magnetic field data or Silvia Dalla for ATs data.

The list of interplanetary shocks encountered by Ulysses since 1996 is available.

Magnetic field data

If you use Ulysses magnetic field data, please contact the Principal Investigator, André Balogh, and let him know. This reduces the chance of duplication of effort between teams and lets us provide instrument documentation that makes data analysis easier.

A list of latest quick-look magnetometer data is available (access to the actual files is restricted).

The most recent received magnetic field data are available as a figure. There are also several overview plots of Ulysses data available.

COHOWeb
A Web-based data plotter and retriever, which includes hourly-averaged Ulysses magnetic field data.
National Space Science Data Center
The NSSDC, part of NASA, archives spacecraft data, and has a Ulysses page . Probably the easiest way to access the data is using the SPyCAT Web page.
ESA Ulysses archive - VHM/FGM
Hourly averaged magnetic field data as zipped monthly files or as plots.
PDS
The NASA Planetary Data System contains magnetic field data from the Jupiter encounter in early 1992.

Anisotropy telescope data

If you use ATs data, please contact Silvia Dalla and let her know. This reduces the chance of duplication of effort between teams and lets us provide instrument documentation that makes data analysis easier - a major issue with ATs data.
ESA Ulysses archive - COSPIN
ESA maintains an archive of Ulysses data. Ulysses Anisotropy Telescope data is available in the archive.
PDS
The Planetary Data System is a NASA facility for archiving planetary data. It contains Anisotropy Telescope data from the Ulysses Jupiter encounter in early 1992.
