PG teaching in SPAT
What is it?
We are proposing a series of lectures covering the key
physics used in the group.
The format is that of a `one-week' lecture:
-Mondays, 10.00-11.30 and 14.00-15.30 (lectures) in Huxley Room 711c
-Fridays, 14.00-15.00 (problem sheet solving, discussions) in Huxley Room 711c
These courses are compulsory for 1st-yr PG students, without distinction between
"Space" and "Atmos" students.
All other members of the group are welcome to join!
Timetable
-Week 2 (Oct. 11-15): Basic Plasma Physics / Steve
-Week 3: (Oct 18-22): Ocean circulation / Arnaud
-Week 4: (Oct 25-29): Heliospheric Physics / Bob
-Week 5: (Nov. 1-5) Solar wind interactions with planetary bodies / Michele
-Week 6: (Nov. 8 -12): Atmospheric Physics / Helen. NB: Monday morning session in 741 Blackett
